Rolling Out the Red Carpet
When a well-known supplier of computer peripheral equipment wanted to give its new distributors the red-carpet treatment, it turned to DMA.
The request: “We need to get red carpets packaged and delivered to welcome our new distributors to the company. Can you help?” You bet! DMA staff went to work, hand rolling 500 red, logo-embossed carpets… tying them with bows… packaging them with tissue… boxing… and then labeling them for shipping.
For this high-end promotion the client required special handling. DMA arranged messenger delivery service for local recipients. Those packages destined for other cities were drop shipped first, and then messenger delivered. DMA also fulfilled the follow-up mailing which consisted of metal-covered, spiral-bound new product guides.
The campaign was mailed in a timely manner and was well received by new distributors. DMA succeeded in rolling out the red carpet!
